Wild Where — Service Area

Last Updated: 2026-10-18

Wild Where's wildlife sighting reports, alerts, species lists, sensitive-species location rules and wildlife guidance are provided only for locations within Alberta and British Columbia, Canada (the "Service Area"). They are calibrated for that region and no other.

Current Service Area

Outside the Service Area

Outside the Service Area the App has no wildlife data coverage. You will not receive sighting information or alerts there, and the absence of a report or an alert does not mean that wildlife is absent — anywhere. Do not rely on the App for wildlife sighting information outside the Service Area.

Inside the Service Area, too, Wild Where is for informational purposes only. It is not a safety aid and not a safety guarantee. Sightings are reported by other users, are not verified, and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Where the App is available

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store (Canada) and Google Play (Canada). App store availability is set by country and cannot be limited to particular provinces, so being able to download the App does not mean wildlife data coverage is available where you are.

Changes to the Service Area

We may change the Service Area from time to time. This page, in the App and at wildwhere.com/service-area, always shows the current Service Area. We will give advance notice of any reduction in the Service Area, as described in the Terms and Conditions (§1.4 and §22).

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the consumer protection or privacy legislation of your province or territory, which continues to apply regardless of where the App is used.
